The Ardour Way
In 2012, an academic report on the story of time poverty and female unemployment in India identified a large gap between between free domestic time, opportunity, and skill. I instantly realised that women in India, when provided with resources could create something magical, at their own will and in their own time
This is how Ardour was born - an ecommerce and physical retail platform designed to showcase, empower, and celebrate the stories of the women creators of India through fashion. A platform that enables her to prioritise herself - her time, her creation, her livelihood.
'The Ardour Way’ is not just any other way of showcasing fashion - it’s a meaningful way for us to recognise the work done by the women creators in India, connect with them, and celebrate their stories.

Ardour reflects more than just my passion for social impact and empowerment. It’s the spark I see in the eyes of the women who convey their stories through their art. It’s the enthusiasm with which they learn new skills and create something beautiful - in their own time, at their own will. It’s the happiness I see on their face when they tell me how being a part of a community has liberated them.
Ardour, is a reflection of their passion and desire for an empowered livelihood.
